wrecked on you

it's been a very trying year, this 2006, and as we crest into autumn, it just feels like the end is near. The end of a very bad year. There have been highs, along with the lows. It's been extreme, no real middle ground. I'm feeling lost in a swirling morass of bad vibes. The leaves hang on the trees in their various colorful states, tiny little audiences to the despair of the world before falling to the ground to be absorbed into decay. My heart is changing colors, too. From green to blue to brown to black. A black hole in my chest filled with nothing but creeping despair. Winter is right on the horizon and it will be a bitter, cold, bleak five months of sordid days and nights, the blackness killing the light.

Been there myself. My 2004 was similar to your 2006. When you're at the bottom, it's hard to see up and out. But the cliche is true, no where to go but up. There's nothing like a good bike trip to help. Something which you might assoicate the word "epic" with.

Another nice pic from the old burliegh archives! This year has been fucking out of hand for me as well. . . no middle ground ANYWHERE. I would like to take one of those old biswack city garbage bins and smash the fuck out of the ugly light next to it. Apparently I'm not the only one as there's been a rash of random destruction going around lately. Lots of extra moidalizing too, all around the globe, probably not a good time to piss anyone off, they may suddenly stab you in the eye!

There is a spot in KC for you to hang any time you want to get away from MPLS. Not much a sceanery change but it would be a change, and I owe you. You know how to find me.
