Turbo Alcoholic

Turbo Alcoholic, originally uploaded by tommy gun.

If you're into cool illustrations, with a Ralph Steadman influence, then I implore you to check out my main man on the NYC scene, John Twingley. He's a NoDak expat, former Dakota Cyclery co-worker, (still rockin' the '94 Rockhopper), and generally knows what it feels like, or at least can appreciate the gnawing subversion of the soul that comes from living, and which can only be tempered by strong drink and fine women. He penned the above illustration one smoky night at the nefarious C.C. Club in Minneapolis. (what will they do when the smoking ban goes into effect?!)

Speaking of TURBO ALCOHOLICS these boys are makin' noise up in Burleigh County.

Got a few excellent rides in at Theo Wirth over the weekend. With the light snow and temps in the mid-20's, traction is sweet. The trails are pretty sanguine in the moonlight, too. If you're thinking of getting your ride on this week, I suggest you do so because Mr. Weatherman is talking loud about the temps dropping by week's end, into the core-numbing realm of -15, and that's before the windchill, Boss. The trip down to Madison for the Cronometro swap is going to be automatic iceberg. Need to stock up on the Jim Beam...
